I realize that I have not posted for some time. The month of May is so hectic at my day job that everything else takes a back seat. I drop in bed at night, exhaustion taking over and quite frankly could not muster a creative thought if my life depended upon it. It's alright, my job is fulfilling and meaningful. What we do at Brooklands Elementary is important and I want to give it my all. It just doesn't always leave room for the other side of who I am. The really great part about my job is that I get a two month reprieve each year. Oh sure, there are workshops to attend to hone my skills and assigned summer readings to master so that we can continue to be on the cutting edge of what improves student learning, but there are times.........glorious times when I can gather my art supplies, go out on my beautiful patio, commune with nature, and let creativity take over. The work I do with students fulfills my mind. The work I do with my art supplies fills my soul. I can't wait!

sing it sister. ..... I am having the exact same feelings. I don't have time to color in my name let alone get creative.. HOPEFULLY for both of us the end may be around the corner and we can get creative again. Wanna try an ATC swap? maybe that might get us back into the groove....
